Musical Instrument Storage Cabinets

Music instruments are very sensitive to humidity changes in the environment. Take violins or guitar as an example, violins/guitar would expand when exposed to moisture. A protruding back plate, often as a consequence, would cause the violins to be out of tune. On the other hand, a reasonable level of humidity is necessary; an environment that is too dry will cause violins to shrink and the wood to become brittle. These phenomena can lead to a violin’s out of tune as well. The key point for preserving violins is to maintain the humidity level between 50% and 55% RH.
